Car Rental Terms & Conditions

To ensure that car rental in Baku with Salam Rent is convenient and predictable, we recommend reviewing the key rental rules in advance. Below you will find the current terms and requirements applicable to our clients.

1. 📄 Required Documents

• Valid driving license 🚘 (detailed requirements are available here 🔗)
• International passport 🛂
• In certain cases, an international driving permit may be required 🌍

2. 🎂 Driver Age and Experience

• Minimum driver age — 24 years 👦
• Maximum driver age — 65 years 👴
• Minimum driving experience — at least 2 years 🚦
• Please note: Some vehicle categories may be available to drivers from 21 years old or over 65 years old with an increased deposit and double excess. Current conditions should be confirmed with Salam Rent managers 📞

3. 💰 Payment and Deposit

• Accepted payment methods: bank cards 💳, bank transfer 🏦, cash 💵.
• The security deposit can be paid in cash, by bank card, or via bank transfer.
• Deposit amount:
  • Standard vehicle categories — from 300 AZN 🪙
  • Premium and luxury segment — up to 3500 AZN 💎
• Deposit refund:
  • Cash payments — refunded immediately after vehicle return and inspection. ✅
  • Card payments — refund period may take from 3 to 30 days. ⏳
• Booking conditions: an advance payment of 20–30% of the total rental cost is required. The remaining balance and deposit are paid upon vehicle pickup. 📝
• Part of the deposit may be retained in case of vehicle damage 🔧, traffic fines 👮‍♂️, insufficient fuel level ⛽, or violation of rental terms. ⚠️

4. 🛡️ Insurance

📌 Standard insurance coverage protects against basic risks. In the event of an insured incident, the renter’s liability is limited to the deductible amount.
